The Canadian Professional Disc Jockey Association is now accepting applications for the Position of "Executive Director". This will be a Part-Time position that will require very flexible hours during our busy membership registration period. Deadline for Online Applications is Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 10pm eastern.
The CPDJA Board of Directors have now formally opened up a window of opportunity for anyone to apply for the paid position of CPDJA Executive Director. Gerald Hood has been volunteering for this role since earlier this year, but it is time to return this position to a formalized staffed position.

Job Requirements:
  • Must have a STRONG Accounting Background and experience with a proven track record in Accounting, Finance, Budgeting, Cash Flow Predictions & Cash Flow Analysis.

  • Must have a working knowledge and understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principals). Previous experience of accounting work for a Not For Profit organization is preferred.

  • Must be able to prepare complete and accurate financial books and statements, along with monthly financial reports and analysis for the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. This will also include Cash Flow Analysis, Deferred Payment & Cash Projection Reports.

  • Must have both Quickbooks Desktop and Quickbooks Online Working Experience.

  • Must have previous experience working in an office environment.

  • Must have a working knowledge of common office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)

  • Must be knowledgeable and familiar with the “Ontario Not For Profit Act” and how it relates to our association

  • Must have knowledge and experience with all Government Requirements including “Change of Director Reports”, “HST Reports”, etc...

  • Must be able to complete our annual year end financial statements, along with all working papers and required documentation required for our annual government returns.

  • Must be able to work independently and multi-task.

  • Must be able to relocate the head office to your home or office location. The ability to supply internet, phone line, voice mail & office support is an asset.

Job Duties:

  • This position reports directly to the CPDJA Board of Directors.

  • You will be a signing officer for the Corporation at the direction of the Board of Directors.

  • Support the Executive Committee and the Regional Team Leaders.

  • Contact Potential New or Renewing Members.

  • Complete Accounting Duties including but not limited to All Banking Duties, Deposits, Bill Payments, Payroll, Transfers, Payment Processing, Monthly Bank & Credit Card Processor Statement Reciliations, etc...

  • Complete detailed and accurate monthly Financial Reports for the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee.

  • Complete our annual year end financial statements along with supporting documents and working papers.

  • Process all Memberships in our Management Software and Accounting Software.

  • Send New Membership Certificates To Members.

  • Manage all office duties for the association.

  • Be the main contact for the association including supporting any of our members who need help or assistance.

  • Answer Telephone and E-Mail Inquires for the association. Return phone messages.

  • Provide Insurance Information and Guidance to our members.

  • Process all “in house” Insurance Applications and adjustments.

  • Process all Connect Music Licence Applications & Distribute Connect Membership Cards To Members.

  • Assist with our Allied Membership Program as required.

  • Attend Local RTL Networking Meetings when possible.

  • Other duties as required.
